Me estás diciendo que está bien que Radio Oxígeno se encasille en los años 80 y 90 tal como lo hizo la extinta Radio Oasis, pues si es así Oxígeno también se iría a la quiebra.

Por otro lado, lamento discrepar contigo en esto, pero decir que la década de los 2000; o mejor dicho, la década que abarca del año 2000 al 2009 no es retro es el argumento más deficiente y endeble que ha existido, porque para tu conocimiento hubo una hipocresía en la década de los 2010; o mejor dicho, la década que abarca del año 2010 al año 2019, ya que ni bien empezó el año 2010, toda la sociedad se puso de acuerdo en menos de 5 segundos en considerar como retro a toda la década de los 90, cuando la mayoría de las cosas de esa década que cierra del siglo 20 no tenía ni siquiera más de 20 años de existencia, ya que está ignorando que muchas cosas utilizadas en las últimas décadas del siglo 20 seguían siendo relevantes años 2000, lo cual las voy a enlistar para dejar en claro el por qué sí es factible y razonable considerar a los años 2000 como una década retro al igual que los años 90, 80, 70, etc.

1.- Falta menos de 1 mes para que todas las cosas creadas y publicadas en el año 2000 estén a un paso de cumplir 25 años de existencia.

2.- Era común que los autos todoterreno y camionetas de los años 2000 tengan los parachoques cubriendo toda la parte inferior de la carrocería.

3.- Los autos sedanes como coupes y hatchback, e incluso los todoterreno y camionetas de los años 2000 eran de diseño sencillo como en los años 90 y 80, pero ya a partir de los primeros años de la década de 2010 ya les pusieron diseños muy de lujo y de colores fríos y apagados.

4.- Los televisores de rayo catódico o mejor conocidos como televisores de tubo eran indispensables y muy utilizados hasta a mediados de los años 2000.

5.- Los monitores para computadora de rayo catódico o mejor conocidos como televisores de tubo eran indispensables y muy utilizados hasta a mediados de los años 2000.

16.- Las cámaras fotográficas y las cámaras videograbadoras para uso doméstico durante los años 2000, así como los fue en los años 90, 80, etc.

  1. La música en formato físico en los 2000 todavía era relevante, ya que todos compraban CD desde que aparecieron entre fines de los 80 e inicios de los 90.

18.- El VHS duró hasta la primera mitad de los años 2000 para ser reemplazado por el DVD que nació a fines de los 90 pero se hizo conocido ni bien empezó el año del nuevo milenio.

23.- Los programas de televisión de shows infantiles de fines de semana que emiten dibujos animados dentro del programa como Timoteo y Chabelo aún eran relevantes tal como los fueron en los años 90 y 80.

24.- La década de los 2000 fue la última década donde la música rock en todas sus ramas todavía formaba parte de la corriente mainstream, porque ni bien entró los primeros años de la década de 2010 ya el rock desapareció de la corriente mainstream.

25.- En cuanto a las culturas urbanas, la década de los 2000 fue la última década donde las culturas urbanas florecieron, como los góticos, hipsters y emos que venían de fines de los 90.

26.- La cultura woke no existía en el 2009 para atrás.

Esas personas que tienen más de 40 de años de las que se niegan a aceptar la antigüedad de la década de los 2000 no son más que dinosaurios, ya que por culpa de ellos no se puede ser objetivo ni honesto al respecto a la hora de hablar con ellos.

A mi no sorprendería en lo absoluto que en algún futuro Radio Mágica llegue a pasar música de más artistas de fines de los 90 y de artistas de la década de los 2000 como las Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Smash Mouth, el clásico Coldplay, el clásico Linkin Park, Sophie-Ellis Bextor, Evanescence, Keane y The Killers.

Acá hay una cosa que no estoy de acuerdo, si nos fijamos en la mayoría de artistas de los años 90 orientados a público muy juvenil como los Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Savage Garden, las Spice Girls, Natalie Imbruglia, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, JLO y Blink-182, el público objetivo de ellos no era la generación x, sino los millenials, tal como en los años 2000 también se dirigieron a la generación Y artistas como Nelly Furtado,Simple Plan, Avril Lavigne, P!nk, Beyoncé y Paramore.

Yo jamás dije que Oxígeno deje de lado por completo a la música de los 80 y 90, sólo dije que por enfrascarse en ambas décadas de fines del siglo 20, no son capaces de añadir a su programación habitual más música de la década que abrió el nuevo milenio, ya que actualmente solo pasan una mísera cantidad de canciones de los años 2000 en su programación habitual.

Lo único que yo espero es que como falta muy poquito para que todas las cosas creadas y publicadas en el año 2000 cumplan 25 años de existencia, ya se considere a la década de los 2000 como retro por si acaso.

Yo era fan de z rockandpop . tengo grabaciones con gerardo manuel ,charly en z rockandrock de hairbands los ultimos 20 …y polo de z..para mi la mejor epoca fue 2008 y 2009 salvo un mes que pusieron musica romantica..ahora 2024 es horrible ponen musica brasileira ricky martin shakira soraya la lambada en una radio de rock y musica que es nueva que no es para esta radio.que su emblema es musica ochentera, prefiero panamericana retro rock. la radio lazer de los 80s. .Debes saber algo hoy en dia no escuchan radio ni ven tv los jovenes. por eso radio planeta ocupa los ultimos puestos ,desde los 2010 para adelante ven solo youtube o spotify o otra app .se hizo un estudio y la gente que escucha una radio de verdad no celular o computadora son mas de30 40 50 años a mas y que prefieren 70s 80s 90s en todos sus estilos musicales…o noticias religion.y tiene mucha razon oxigeno desapareceria si pondria musica del 2000 un ejemplo yo era fan y escuchaba z rockandpop ahora escucho otra radio.no me interesa para nada zrockandpop deberia salir del aire esta matando su leyenda su prestigio con la musica que ponen.

Lamento discrepar contigo, pero la gente que tiene a partir de 30 años sí consume música del año 2000 al 2009.

Si Oxígeno llega a pasa música de los 2000 en mayor cantidad no va a desaparecer en lo absoluto; al contrario, va a seguir vivo, pero sí Oxígeno se va a estancar en los 80 y 90 va a desaparecer como su difunta competidora Radio Oasis, que hace como 8 meses que quebró.

Opino lo mismo, ya deberían de tocar Juanes, Jarabe de Palo, Manu Chau, Nelly Furtado, etc. Todo lo que es del 2000 al 2005 al menos, ya deberia ser el 40% de su programación junto a los 90s y 20% de 80s. Las generaciones avanzan y la programación de las radios se deben adaptar. Así como también lo está haciendo Felicidad y La Inolvidable al tocar Gianmarco o David Bisbal.

Por algo tienen a los referentes que estaban en Studio 92, algo que la verdad no entiendo, pero imagino que es para atraer a ese público de los 2000 o Millenialls.

Justo ahora me acorde de la canción Don de Miranda que sonó fuerte en el 2006, pensar que esa canción ya va cumplir casi 20 años. Es como si Studio 92 en el 2007 tocará Indochine o Step By Step de los New Kids, son generaciones distintas.

Con esto su radio hermana, Studio 92, debería ser un formato top 40 como Disney tocando lo más “light” de todos los géneros.

Para los 80s ya tienen a Felicidad, para las canciones en español, y Oxygeno Classics para los 70s y 80s en ingles, Que no sea rentable para RPP aplicar ese formato en aire, ya es por un tema comercial, pero lo politicamente correcto sería esos formatos.

O sea, es cierto. Los 2000s ya están para ser retro (y si vemos la primera mitad, con mayor razón). El tema es cuando una radio debe cambiar de enfoque y segmento por tal motivo, por acoplarse a un público objetivo que se transforma. Porque quienes antes por así decirlo escuchaban Studio 92 se fueron a Oxígeno porque emitía más su formato musical y luego a Mágica. Sin embargo, en ese caso cada radio va para un público diferente y ellos son los que deberían ir cambiando de opciones según la programación.

En ese caso, revisando aprox. las generaciones y su rango de edad, el panorama planteado sería el siguiente:

  • Los baby boomers se quedan sin radio. Lo más retro de Mágica se va (salvo contados bloques) y a meter todo lo que ponía Oasis, ya orientando la radio a la generación X.
  • Oxígeno pasa a ser una radio más orientada a los millenials, centrándose más en los 90s y 2000s (tal vez incluso algo de los 2010s).
  • Studio 92 y Planeta ya se quedaría con la generación Z en adelante, con los temas que vinieron desde los 2010s y tal vez algunas excepciones.

Pero por lo antes mencionado (público que no oye radios, resistencia al cambio, problemas con la segmentación), cambiar esto no es tan fácil. A Mágica le dolería desprenderse de los Beatles y quitar lo muy poco que queda de sus orígenes. Oxígeno pone la misma música que en sus inicios, pero sin contar que ya pasaron 20 años. Studio 92 y Planeta son bien considerados con la generación Z y ponen canciones de cuando estábamos chibolos y no teníamos ni 8 años. De estos ejemplos, creo que Studio 92 es la que más se atrevió a cambiar en más de 40 años, con muchos altibajos; y tal vez su pobre posicionamiento actual también da qué pensar si cambiar es la solución o no. Está compleja la situación, pero hay que dar un primer paso corto pero continuo a ver qué tal se recibe. Mágica de a pocos lo está haciendo, por ejemplo, al meter más temas noventeros (eso sí, no son tan continuos como el miércoles 27 de noviembre); sin embargo, aún se rehúsan a dejar la mínima parte de lo que tenía cuando empezaron.

Hay un tema que quería añadir a tu posición, y es que de las tres emisoras, Studio 92 fue la que tuvo las metamorfosis más fuertes en sus casi 40 años de historia. De ser una radio rock-popera desde los 80s hasta los 2000s (con un breve intervalo salsero a inicios 90s), pasando a ser una radio más juvenil tipo Okey durante fines de los 2000s (metiendo reggaeton y géneros urbanos), volviendo a sus orígenes desde aprox el 2011 (cuando lanzaron La Zona y mandaron el reggaeton allá, mientras que S92 se volvió la radio del rock-pop actual, además de otros géneros como el reggae) hasta el 2017 con el boom de Despacito y su reggaetonización que ya tiene 7 años.

Por el contrario, las otras tres radios se mantuvieron más o menos igual: Oxígeno siempre se mantuvo fiel a su esencia rockera-popera (aunque en sus primeros años se especializó en más rock clásico de los 60 y 70), y de ahí tuvo algunas variaciones, como su etapa ochentera 2008-12, su posterior etapa alternativa que duró muy poco tiempo hasta la segunda mitad de los 2010s cuando vuelve a ser la radio de refritos rock-pop en inglés y español de los 80, 90 y muy pocos de los 2000s. Mágica que siempre fue la radio de las canciones suaves en inglés (siendo sucesora espiritual de Telestereo), emitió baladas, pop melódico e instrumentales desde fines de los 50s hasta inicios de los 80s durante sus primeros 5 años, luego desde el 2015 se enfoca más en las canciones disco y pop de fines de los 70 y toda la década de los 80 hasta el año pasado cuando emitieron música noventera. Y por último, Planeta fue la radio más estancada de todas: el único cambio relevante fue el deshacerse de las canciones en español para el 2006 y quedarse como una radio 100% de pop en inglés.

Dos detalles sobre Oxígeno solamente:

  • La etapa centrada en los oldies duró muy poco, creo que no más de dos años. Ya en 2006 estaban con su campaña “Lo Mejor de los 80” centrándose sobre todo en esa década.
  • La etapa alternativa también fue muy corta, básicamente fue solo durante algunos meses de 2013 con su campaña “Llena tu vida de rock” poco antes de la aparición de Radio X en los 91.9 FM. No pasó mucho hasta que volvieron a los oldies y refritos con su campaña “Solo buena música”.

El slogan “Lo mejor de los 80s” fue el primero que tuvo desde su fundación en el 2004. Grupo RPP quiso hacer una especie de Z rock and Pop, pero centrandose netamente en generación de los 80s ya que ese público ya tenía más de 35 años y era atractivo a nivel publicitario, practicamente tenían ganado ese target ya que CRP aún tenía a Stereo 100 pero ya en sus últimas.

Para el 2013 cambian de programador y empezaron a tocar ya canciones de ese mismo año como Get Lucky de Daft Punk, quizás por la competencia que había con X de RadioCorp y Oasis en su mejor momento con Micky Q. como programador y Galliani como locutor.
